BESPOKE COACHING

What is Bespoke Coaching? Who benefits from this?

Bespoke Coaching is all about a qualified Level 3 Coach working closely with either an athlete, or a person who would like to become one!!
Jo is currently coaching Triathletes, runners, cyclists, and swimmers, all of whom receive a high level of personal coaching support to ensure each and every person reaches their individual goal or personal challenge, no matter how far in the future this may be – stepping stones are suggested and put in place to achieve this, some of which may be extremely uncomfortable and challenging to the individual. Consequently, impressive results and huge Smiles are achieved …………..

Jo has a few athletes wishing to aspire for Great Britain qualification for varying distances in Triathlon (Swim, Cycle, Run), Duathlon (Run, Cycle, Run), Aquathlon

(Run, Swim, Run), Aquabike (Swim, Cycle) Cycling Sportives, Marathons, 10kms, 5kms runs. Many of them have managed to achieve their qualification status, which is a reflection of the close working relationship between Coach and athlete.

Jo has a wealth of experience gained over many years from competing internationally herself – she has won many European and World medals over the past 17 years – Aquathlon,Triathlon and, most recently, Aquabike, and is still a current competitor in the 65-69 Age Group, with a real passion for competing at the highest level, through maintaining a healthy and active Lifestyle, aware that her training has to be SMART, to avoid injury and disappointment, as well as strong mental health. Jo has had an unhappy arthritic knee for years now, has moderated her training to embrace this and has switched to Aquabike to avoid overload on the knee and hip joints – this has been her Saviour!

Jo’s empathy in her coaching style ensures her athletes are put at ease throughout their sporting journey, she maintains a professional approach throughout, and gets into the heads of her athletes, to gain a better understanding of their anxiety about racing, the highs and lows of training and competing, and dealing with disappointments along the way. These are what make for a stronger and more robust athlete, who gains knowledge and experience and, most importantly, true satisfaction and pride!
