Devon Retreat

How about a stay in the U.K. and enjoy the beautiful West Country – cream teas, thatched cottages, beautiful beaches, gentler pace of Life and friendly people? South Devon has its own attraction all Seasons of the year, come and spoil yourselves, you deserve it.

Everyone has more Time, your Heart Rate will drop 15 bpm, tense shoulders will relax, as you turn your car into the single track road leading to “Mill Cottage”.

“Mill Cottage” is totally separate to the main house, with its own drive and own front door, it’s small but cosy, boasting a Shower Room and large double bed on the ground floor, beautiful double aspect sitting room overlooking the valley and the bird boxes and feeders, brand new kitchen and SMART television, and access to the private and nicely stocked gardens, on two levels. If you are wishing to get away for a few days’ walking/hiking, bird and dolphin/seal watching or scampering (with a dog!) on Dartmoor, this is the perfect location – so many fantastic Beauty Spots almost on your doorstep! Excellent pubs serving local ales are within walking distance of Mill Cottage, offering superb, local and freshly cooked food options too.

Haccombe Hamlet has its own 12th Century Church within half a mile, and a noticeable micro climate with wonderful views overlooking the sheep, horses and cows grazing in the fields. The popular towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Plymouth and Exeter are all easily accessible from Newton Abbot, either by train or car.

Additionally, Jo is now able to offer a Fitness training facility in South Devon, from her own home, “The Mill”, which lies in the heart of Haccombe valley, 2 miles off the A380 at Newton Abbot (see map). Peace and tranquillity abound here, clean air, clear night skies, and only owls to waken you at night time!

All training is possible here from the property – great trail runs, mountain biking, road cycling, open water swimming at Teignmouth/Maidencombe Beach (5 miles by bike), and local Leisure Centre facilities (outdoor pools too!). Quaint and traditional Devon pubs and restaurants are within walking/cycling distance, offering excellent home cooked, local produce – what could be more enticing and exciting for athletes? Bikes can be safely stored away too when not in use ………………

Whatever aspect of bespoke coaching you are looking for, Jo can accommodate you here in Devon – what are you waiting for?

Group bookings are also possible, as there are local Air B&B facilities too, in similar idyllic locations to my properties.

Alongside, you can add on a few extra days’ walking, bird and dolphin watching and trekking on Dartmoor, this is the perfect location to combine both training with a short holiday break.
