Fuerteventura COACHED Training for Ladies and Mature Athletes 2018

April 28th – May 8th 2018 ( 7 or 10 day options available)

Come and join Tri50 for an exciting week’s Triathlon training in the guaranteed warmth of the Canary Isles.

Suitable for novices through to intermediate and Age Group athletes, this is not just a triathlon training week, this is a FULLY COACHED week, headed up by two British Triathlon Federation Level 3 Coaches, Jo and Sandra, both of whom are very experienced Professional Coaches, as well as Coach Educators for British Triathlon.  International Triathletes in their own right, Sandra and Jo have vast experience coaching all ages and abilities, from novices dipping their toes into the water, to Age Group athletes competing for GB in European and World Championships.

Their aim is to guide and support you through a full training week. The focus is on improving technique and fitness across all 3 disciplines, preparation for speedy transitions and introducing you to sea swimming or developing your OW skills in the warm sea that is literally on the doorstep. You will love cycling on the quiet roads while group riding and learning how to draft, plus the mini Tri at the end of the week will put all your skills into practice before you return to the UK for the start of the season.

Why not bring your family too? Las Playitas offers a range of activities from walking, yoga, exercise classes, aqua aerobics and golf, to name but a few.

Coaching time will be offered to individuals on any aspect of training throughout the week, and time can also be allocated to those athletes wishing to have Training Programmes devised – this can be arranged with Jo and Sandra, at an additional cost.

ALL TRI50’S SESSIONS WILL BE FULLY COACHED AND ATHLETE FOCUSED – this is what we pride ourselves on.

(Please note there is a minimum swim requirement of 100m continuous swimming)

Testimonials and posts from past camps

This was my second year at the Tri50 training camp and this time it was crucial to my preparation for my first attempt at Age Group qualification.  Once again the coaching was excellent and we were really encouraged to find abilities we never thought we had.  I emerged from the camp exhausted, but with new skills and a deeper understanding of my strengths.  I am now as prepared as I could ever be, both physically and mentally, for my forthcoming competition.

Julie G, April 2017

This was the first time I had been on a training camp and I specifically wanted one that took into account that I was an older athlete. I know Jo and some of the athletes from her training session on a Monday so I was confident that it would be quality sessions with a nice group of people.  My expectations were exceeded.  The training sessions were challenging for me (as my training at home is not consistent), well structured and focused on moving each person towards their individual goals. Not only did it take my fitness up a couple of notches, it was fun!  They were all an amazing group of people and fun to be with; very supportive of each other and I have made some new friends as a result.  I will be going back next year.

Fuerteventura 2017 – Day 10: Have a Tri!! by the Brownlee Sisters

Our last day thinking it was going to be an easy one before we head home tomorrow, but instead Jo & Sandra had different ideas for us!. After a restless night and still feeling tired, we met on the beach for T1 and T2 Transition training with Jo & Ted, a very informative & helpful […]

Fuerteventura 2017 – Day 9 by Nigel

The alarm awakens me from my slumbers at 6:30 am. I tiptoe tentatively to the window hoping against hope that windy Fuerteventura would come to my rescue, making it impossibly dangerous for our early sea swim session. No such luck, peering out into the morning’s dawn it’s calm & tranquil, and even at this unearthly […]

Fuerteventura 2017 – Day 8 by Barney

After a late night of tapas, great company, wine and rum shots, our considerate Coaches, Jo and Sandra, gave everybody a well deserved rest and lie in! Although this wouldnt keep our Coaches down and, leading by example, they all took to the sea first thing. My spies tell me this was like an exhibition […]
