Following on from the success of our Triathlon camp in April, Tri50 is returning to the Canary Islands to run a 5 day fully coached Swim camp (SwimSmooth), catering for all ages from novices (minimum of 100m swim) through to Age-Group athletes.

Our goal is to fine tune your freestyle technique to create a solid base for building your volume over the winter training months, and of course to enjoy some warm winter sunshine! You can look forward to underwater filming, 1-1 corrective analysis and feedback and a personalised 6 week training programme to take home. Plus, daily coached pool swims, several coached sea swims, and strength and conditioning to make you a more robust athlete. Fuerteventura COACHED Training 2018
for Ladies and Mature Athletes

April 28th – May 8th 2018 ( 7 or 10 day options available)

Come and join Tri50 for an exciting week’s Duathlon and Triathlon training in the guaranteed warmth of the Canary Isles.

This is not just a triathlon training week, this is a fully COACHED week, headed up by two British Triathlon Federation Level 3 Coaches, Jo and Sandra, both of whom are very experienced Professional Coaches, as well as Coach Educators.  International Triathletes in their own right, Sandra and Jo bring vast experience of many years’ coaching all ages and abilities, from novices dipping their toes into the water, to professional triathletes competing at world class level.

The focus of this Camp is to assist and to educate Ladies and mature athletes, particularly those apprehensive of Open Water swimming and group cycling which are two important aspects of triathlon training and racing. In addition, Jo and Sandra can provide many helpful tips to those wishing to qualify for Great Britain across all distances.

You will love the cycling on the quiet roads, swimming in the 50m open air pool and getting to grips with improving sea water swimming skills, as there is a beach on our doorstep – what could be more convenient?

Why not bring your family too? Las Playitas offers a .range of activities from walking, windsurfing, sightseeing, and golf, to name but a few.

Coaching time will be offered to individuals on any aspect of training throughout the week, and time can also be allocated to those athletes wishing to have Training Programmes devised – this can be arranged with Jo and Sandra, at an additional cost.

ALL TRI50’S SESSIONS WILL BE COACH LED AND ATHLETE FOCUSED – this is what we pride ourselves on.

Fuerteventura COACHED Training 2018
for Ladies Only

This Camp will be run alongside the general one, as above – again, geared to Ladies only, looking for a more gentle pace on the bike rides, assistance with bike handling skills and general bike maintenance, and perhaps keen to give open water a go, but slightly hesitant about what is involved. Nerves will be respected, individual coaching advice will be provided to assure a successful training week, and broad smiles will be beaming by the end of challenging sessions! Tri50 knows exactly what’s going through your minds and will be empathetic and mindful of everyone’s reservations and worries.

“This was my second year at the Tri50 training camp and this time it was crucial to my preparation for my first attempt at Age Group qualification.  Once again the coaching was excellent and we were really encouraged to find abilities we never thought we had.  I emerged from the camp exhausted, but with new skills and a deeper understanding of my strengths.  I am now as prepared as I could ever be, both physically and mentally, for my forthcoming competition.

“This was the first time I had been on a training camp and I specifically wanted one that took into account that I was an older athlete. I know Jo and some of the athletes from her training session on a Monday so I was confident that it would be quality sessions with a nice group of people.  My expectations were exceeded.  The training sessions were challenging for me (as my training at home is not consistent), well structured and focused on moving each person towards their individual goals. Not only did it take my fitness up a couple of notches, it was fun!  They were all an amazing group of people and fun to be with; very supportive of each other and I have made some new friends as a result.  I will be going back next year.

Cycle Training for Novice Female Cyclists

Tri50 has teamed up with Triathlon England to offer a coached cycle session at Minet Park, Hillingdon, a 1mile TRAFFIC FREE cycle circuit.

The session will be led by Sandra and geared towards developing and improving basic cycling ability and knowledge. Whether your goal is to ride out with friends or perhaps a Sportive or a Triathlon, you will leave with the skills necessary to make your riding more enjoyable and efficient and to improve your safety on the roads, and the knowledge to build your cycling volume. You might also meet some new cycling buddies for future riding!

Tri Training Weekend, Wellington College 2017

Tri Training at Wellington College

Suited to all Duathletes and Triathletes – the perfect weekend either at the end of the race season or as we go into a new race season – all the training tips you could ever want from the experienced and successful Tri50 Coaches – learn from them, as well as from your fellow Course athletes. Coaching will be provided across all Triathlon disciplines, as well as Core Conditioning, Sports Nutrition, and ideas on how to balance your own training alongside work, family and travel commitments. Beautiful venue and surrounding countryside have to be tried for yourselves – just the ticket.

One for the Ladies only, age is irrelevant for these training days, and the emphasis is on building confidence and acquiring new skills – be it learning Front Crawl from scratch, apprehensively riding a new road bike, bursting to try swimming in open water, or the best Triathlon fashion tips – Tri50 has all the answers!  Also suited to those athletes wishing to qualify and compete for G.B. and not sure how to go about the training principles and working the 3 disciplines into a busy Lifestyle.
