Following on from the success of our Triathlon camp in April, Tri50 is returning to the Canary Islands to run a 5 day fully coached Swim camp (SwimSmooth), catering for all ages from novices (minimum of 100m swim) through to Age-Group athletes.

Our goal is to fine tune your freestyle technique to create a solid base for building your volume over the winter training months, and of course to enjoy some warm winter sunshine! You can look forward to underwater filming, 1-1 corrective analysis and feedback and a personalised 6 week training programme to take home. Plus, daily coached pool swims, several coached sea swims, and strength and conditioning to make you a more robust athlete. And it doesn’t stop there; check out the full itinerary for everything on offer during this exciting training week.

With the November 2017 camp now full, Tri50 will be running a Spring 2018 FULLY COACHED camp in the Canary Islands. The 4 day Swim specific camp will be followed immediately by a 7 day Triathlon Camp catering for all ages from novices (minimum 100m swim ability) through to Age-Group athletes. Athletes are welcome to join us for one or both of the camps. Please register your interest and full details will be available at the end of November


For Mature Athletes
15th – 21st April inc.

Come and join Tri50 for an exciting week’s Duathlon and Triathlon training in the guaranteed warmth of the Canary Isles.

This is not just a triathlon training week, this is a fully COACHED week, headed up by two British Triathlon Federation Level 3 Coaches, Jo and Sandra, both of whom are very experienced Professional Coaches, as well as Coach Educators.  International Triathletes in their own right, Sandra and Jo bring vast experience of many years’ coaching all ages and abilities, from novices dipping their toes into the water, to professional triathletes competing at world class level.

The focus of this Camp is to assist and to educate Ladies and mature athletes, particularly those apprehensive of Open Water swimming and group cycling which are two important aspects of triathlon training and racing. In addition, Jo and Sandra can provide many helpful tips to those wishing to qualify for Great Britain across all distances.

It will be a week full of coached Triathlon activities including cycling, pool and sea swimming, running, core strength, transition skills and socialising. Whether looking to build skills or confidence we will be with you every step of the way.

Why not bring your family along as well to enjoy some winter sunshine and the various activities on offer?

Coaching time will be offered to individuals on any aspect of training throughout the week, and time can also be allocated to those athletes wishing to have Training Programmes devised – this can be arranged with Jo and Sandra, at an additional cost.

ALL TRI50’S SESSIONS WILL BE COACH LED AND ATHLETE FOCUSED – this is what we pride ourselves on.

“This was the first time I had been on a training camp and I specifically wanted one that took into account that I was an older athlete. I know Jo and some of the athletes from her training session on a Monday so I was confident that it would be quality sessions with a nice group of people.  My expectations were exceeded.  The training sessions were challenging for me (as my training at home is not consistent), well structured and focused on moving each person towards their individual goals. Not only did it take my fitness up a couple of notches, it was fun!  They were all an amazing group of people and fun to be with; very supportive of each other and I have made some new friends as a result.  I will be going back next year.

Cycle Training for Novice Female Cyclists

Date: Sun 18th March 2018 from 13:00 – 17:00

Tri50 has teamed up with Triathlon England to offer coached cycle training at Minet Park, Hillingdon, a 1mile TRAFFIC FREE cycle circuit.

Ladies, join Sandra and GoTri at Minet Park, a one mile traffic-free circuit, to improve your bike handling skills and build confidence for competing in your first triathlon or cycling event, or simply for group riding on open roads. The September training day filled up quickly so book your session via British Triathlon (link below) to make sure you reserve your spot in the Spring, and to get ready for some summer riding.

  • Cycling skills necessary for safe group riding on open roads
  • How, when and why to use your gears
  • How to corner
  • Ascending and descending
  • Loads and loads of practice – come along in cleats if you want to try them for the first time or get in some practice
  • …and if time we’ll be looking at changing a puncture and getting a chain back on so be prepared!

Join Sandra and GoTri for a fully coached training day for novice triathletes to answer all your questions and to prepare you for your first, or next, event.

  • 60mins fully coached OW swim to build confidence and technique (wetsuit hire available but own suit recommended if you need to get one anyway for your event)
  • Classroom sessions: kit, training guide, sports nutrition & hydration and Q&A
  • Outside session: transition training for T1 & T2 plus basic bike & run technique and skills
  • Mini ‘put it all together’ event
